First Floor Software, based in The Hague, The Netherlands, was formed in December 2008 with the purpose of providing Silverlight consultancy and building high-quality Silverlight related products.

First Floor Software was founded by Koen Zwikstra, 35, who previously has been involved in the development of many complex .NET based applications. Koen has proved to have a deep understanding of the .NET framework and the web client/server environment. Inspired by the release of Silverlight as an enabler to creating richer applications within the browser, First Floor Software has a primary focus on Silverlight technology related development.

First Floor Software is a privately owned company with no external funding.
