Silverlight Spy updated

Silverlight Spy has been updated once again (version 2.0.0.31). Based on feedback I received on the previous release, this version includes a fix where the spy fails to correctly resolve a Silverlight application hosted on the local machine.

Version 2.0.0.31 includes the following fixes and updates:

  • Fixes an issue where local hosted applications weren't resolved correctly
  • Fixes an issue where a SL2RC0 application with a XAP package extension not equal to .xap is not detected
  • A proper warning is issued when Silverlight applications are loaded from disk (Spy only supports the HTTP and HTTPS scheme)
  • Performance Monitor now has support for multiple Silverlight Applications
  • Added a number of selection buttons in the Find Result views
  • Various icons have been updated

As a bonus I have added a Frame Rate monitor to the Performance Monitor tab. For RC0 applications, you now have the option to monitor the real-time number of rendered frames per second (all thanks to the new CompositionTarget.Rendering event).
