Silverlight Spy updated (2.0.0.41)

A minor update of Silverlight Spy has been released. This version includes the following fixes:

  • The highlighting behavior is now finally accurate. In previous versions the highlighting shape of the selected UI element wasn't always positioned correctly.
  • Improved XAP downloading. The Spy may lock itself when an additional XAP resource is being requested from the web. I've added some tweaks to prevent this from happening again.

Good job on the Silverlight Spy. It really is an awesome tool. I had a question though. Is it possible to keep track of how many objects are being created in the application and not being garbage collected. I want to use the tool to monitor memroy leaks. thx

fawad: there is no such functionality (yet), but you can use the memory monitor (performance tab, view: memory) to get a real-time graph of the memory consumption of your application
