Silverlight Spy 2.0.0.39 available
The Silverlight Spy has been updated once again. No new features this time, just a bunch of fixes and minor UI updates.
IMPORTANT:
Since the Silverlight Spy application is now signed with an official certificate, the previous version of Silverlight Spy no longer updates itself automatically. If you have an old version installed on your machine, you are kindly requested to uninstall Silverlight Spy and re-install using the link provided in the download section. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Complete list of fixes in this release:
- fix: the logical tree view was broken and only displayed part of the actual logical tree. That is fixed now.
- fix: NullReferenceException in search results dialog when application is not yet loaded
- fix: memory leak where the spy keeps referencing removed UI elements forever
- upd: I've decided to replace most of the icons used in the spy with the excellent (and free) Silk Icon Set created by Mark James.
- upd: the ClickOnce manifest has been signed with an official code signing certificate. You can now verify that the publisher of Silverlight Spy is actually First Floor Software (and not some unknown publisher).
This is probably the last release of Silverlight Spy in 2008. Expect a lot of new goodies in 2009!

Was crashing on startup after installing the latest version, downloading and registering ComUtilities.dll fixed the startup crash (I used the ComUtilities.dll found here http://code.google.com/p/csexwb2/downloads/list)

I'm using this all the time, thanks.
One thing that would be handy would be the ability to configure it as a browser in VS, so that my app starts in Spy when I hit F5. That might be hard to do though.
