Redesigned website and logo's
As of today the completely redesigned website of First Floor Software is online. One of the major goals of the redesign operation was to come up with a website having a professional look and feel. The new logo's and the website are created by AlexxDesign.
About the new logo
Designing a company logo is not an easy task. My designer and I have been iterating over a lot of prototypes and finally came out with this new logo, based on a set of requirements. I liked the colored blocks of the old logo, so the new logo needed some sort of resemblance with the old one. Furthermore I wanted the new logo to symbolize improvement or progress. And last but not least, it just needed to look great.

My designer did a fantastic job, for all the requirements have been met. Do you spot the two F characters? The stairway symbolizes the steps to the first floor (british convention) as well as it stands for progress, the only way is up.
The logo's for both Document Toolkit and Silverlight Spy are derived from the company logo.
Content
All links to the First Floor Software website are unchanged, there is no need to update your bookmarks or RSS readers. New in the main menu is Labs, it provides a set of links to various articles, projects and prototypes of stuff that First Floor Software has been working on in the past. Most topics in the Labs section come with source code.
I hope you enjoy the new look as much as I do.
