Document Toolkit 1.1 Beta available
As of today Document Toolkit 1.1 Beta is available for download. Version 1.1 adds a number of new features and API's to the core Document Viewer library. Version 1.1 includes the following new features:
- New font parsing API with FontParser and DeobfuscatedFontStream.
- New font metrics API with full access to True Type font details using new classes such as GlyphRun and GlyphTypeface. WPF developers should be familiar with these.
- Text selection.
- Access to the document's plain text contents.
- Extensible annotation framework with built-in support for text highlights. The annotation framework has an API similar to the WPF Annotation Framework.
- Customizable floating text selection toolbar for quick access to operations on the current text selection.
Try 1.1 beta yourself by downloading the 1.1 evaluation version or running the Online Document Toolkit demo.
Please note that this beta version is available for evaluation purpose only. The v1.1 release is scheduled for early Q3 2009. Customers that have purchased version 1.0 are entitled to a free upgrade.
