Announcing Document Toolkit for LightSwitch

As of today Document Toolkit, a document viewer for Silverlight, is now available as LightSwitch Extension. Document Toolkit for LightSwitch adds document viewing capabilities to your LightSwitch application. Documents of type XPS, PDF *), and Microsoft Office documents such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint are supported.

Document Toolkit for LightSwitch is available as extension in the Visual Studio Online gallery. You need to have LightSwitch Beta 2 installed to work with this product. Document Toolkit for LightSwitch is a beta product.

    what about tif format ?

    is this tool support if not - then when will it does ?

    Hi Alon

    We're looking into adding TIFF support, but it won't happen any time soon.. As far as XPS documents with TIFF images is concerned; you can convert those images to jpg or png using the XpsConvert project in the Document Toolkit Extensions project (http://documenttoolkit.codeplex.com).
